The second webinar in our ‘How to’ series focussed on social issues and engaging young people in this initial part of the YPI process.

Hannah Clark, Principal Teacher of Project Based Learning at Banff Academy, shared her experiences about their delivery model and timeline which allow for deep and meaningful learning surrounding social issues, creating lasting connections with the local community.

In recent years, attributable to the challenges posed by Covid delivery, there has been a decrease in young people’s understanding of social issues and how these are impacting their community. This is the bedrock of the programme, and we are committed to supporting practitioners to empower students and maximise the potential of the programme.

The webinar is available below, alongside the accompanying PowerPoint.

Please contact your Regional Facilitator if you wish to explore this element further during your planning or maximising impact session. View the Delivery Resource for more inspiration and advice.
