YPI Scotland is pleased to welcome The Ryvoan Trust as a Principal Funder of YPI in the Highlands.
After attending last year’s YPI National Event, The Ryvoan Trust has decided to support the delivery of the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative in our Highland schools.
We were delighted to welcome James McFarlane, Trustee at The Ryvoan Trust, to a YPI final at Forrester High School in Edinburgh.
He said: “I was so impressed by the impact the programme has on the young people involved. From the outside, YPI appears to be very charity focused, and I saw at the event how much YPI really helps young people develop the skills they need as they grow.
“The Ryvoan Trust focuses on supporting young people across Scotland and our contribution to YPI helps us reach smaller, grassroots charities we may not usually be able to benefit.
“This is especially true for small organisations working in the Highlands, an area which holds a special place in our families’ heart.”
The Ryvoan Trust, which was established in 2009, funds registered charities, with a focus on children and young people. It also supports individuals with either physical or mental health challenges.
We look forward to welcoming The Ryvoan Trust to future YPI events to further highlight the impact of this active citizenship programme, which empowers young people with skills and confidence while supporting local and national charities that make a difference in our communities.
