At YPI, our goal is to empower you, young people, to be active and responsible citizens, connect with your communities and realise your potential as change-makers.

With exam results arriving across Scotland today we would like to celebrate your many successes! For some young people there is perhaps disappointment, however let’s recognise the many achievements of the last year, not least £834,000 in youth-led grantmaking going straight to local charities in your communities. There really is #nowrongpath to how you can drive change and make a difference.

In the academic year 2023/ 24, the social issue that nearly one in five of all #YPI finalist teams (19%) chose to champion was mental health and wellbeing. You stressed how important it is to talk about mental health and shared moving examples of how your local charities supported those who needed help. Please remember that you can reach out to those very same charities if you find today a little overwhelming and would like someone to talk to.
