Following a challenging academic year, we firmly believe that, together, we can deliver a programme in 2021/22 which is rooted in real ambition and driven by school communities that are supported to realise the multitude of benefits that YPI presents. By committing to delivering YPI, you are providing a vital empowerment opportunity for your students, through which they will develop important skills via a creative, hands-on, real-world learning experience, whilst distributing a £3000 charitable award within our communities. The following form outlines the terms and conditions of engagement, alongside requests relating to practical information related to delivery model, estimated timeline, and key contacts. YOUR SCHOOL’S COMMITMENT - TERMS AND CONDITIONS Submission of the Participating School Commitment ("PSC") represents your formal agreement to deliver the YPI programme to a successful conclusion, in partnership with TWF, during the 2021/22 academic year. TWF commits to: Ring-fence the majority portion of the £3000 grant (£2750) to your school community during the 2021/22 academic year and deploy a suite of resources to enable and empower your school’s completion of the programme.Support you, via a dedicated member of the TWF team, to develop and plan for an impactful programme.Deliver professional learning opportunities to support programme embedding, development and innovation.Work closely with regional and national education partners to ensure the programme aligns with key education priorities and is appropriately recognised and profiled. The Participating School commits to: Deliver YPI to a successful conclusion during the 2021/22 academic year with a full year group (from S2- S6) as core curricular activity.Ensure the £3000 YPI Grant is directed to a local, OSCR registered, social service charity.Fund a minority portion of the £3000 YPI Grant (£250) which is to be issued to the winning charity in a timely manner following your school’s YPI Showcase.Develop and embed YPI as a core feature of the school curriculum, culture, and community, supported by the school senior leadership team who are fully engaged and invested in the programme’s success.Provide the space and time for practitioners to participate in professional learning and development opportunities offered by TWF.Work closely with TWF in support of programme delivery and development, maintaining clear and open lines of communication and participating in learning and evaluation activity (including student and teacher surveying). Additionally, the participating school will: Respect copyright legislation with regards to programme resource materials.Recognise and assume the risk of students contacting and liaising with local charities.Understand that TWF accepts no liability or responsibility to the school and/or any third party for injury and personal property damage whilst participating in YPI Scotland.
