The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) is a powerful active citizenship programme empowering young people to make a difference in their communities.

YPI engages a full year group of students, developing skills and confidence through a contextualised learning experience.  Through teamwork, research, and competition, young people advocate for social issues in a bid to secure a £3000 grant for their chosen charity.

Explore the creativity, ideas and impact that makes YPI come alive. Here you’ll find examples from students, teachers, and our wider programme that showcase innovation, learning, and meaningful change. Get inspired by what’s possible, learn from others, and discover ways to bring your own YPI experience to life.

Creativity Unleashed

There is no ‘right’ way to approach the YPI presentation. It needs to be engaging and memorable. Think creatively to convince the judges that your cause is the most deserving of your school’s YPI Grant. Be inspired by exploring the students creative work, from videos and artwork to presentations and campaigns, these examples highlight young people's ideas, skills and passion.
